1. The distinction between offline and online business models will evaporate.

2. Fulfillment and customer service will be the altar for the marriage of internet and direct marketing.

3. Fallout and consolidation will occur among the too many poorly funded and sadly executed e-merchant business models.

4. Opt-in e-mail lists will be the fastest growing segment of the e-mail industry.

5. Publicly held direct marketing companies will proactively explore internet value creation strategies.

6. Personalization will be elevated as the magic key for lasting customer relationships.

7. Venture capital will continue to pour into internet direct marketing companies.
