Telscape Announces Hiring of CFO to Complete Management Team.

MONROVIA, Calif. -- Telscape has named Philip Siegel as Senior Vice President and CFO. "I am very proud to have Phil as a part of the executive team. He has the experience and expertise needed to handle the challenges of a fast growing company like ours. We have aggressive financial goals. Phil will play an important role in helping us meet them," stated Ruben Garcia, Telscape President and CEO.

Prior to joining Telscape, Siegel, was a CFO consultant at The Brenner Group where he provided interim executive management services to high tech start-ups. He also served as Managing Director and CFO at MediaCom Ventures, a $150 million private equity fund/incubator that invests in and develops emerging Internet and Communications companies. His responsibilities included the financial and operational management of the portfolio companies, and identifying strategic acquisitions. Prior to MediaCom, he was CFO of International Telemedia Associates, a provider of telecom clearinghouse services, where he built the infrastructure and risk management systems.

Siegel started his career at Deloitte and Touche and received a BBA in accounting from Emory University. He is a certified public accountant.
