Telor Ophthalmic Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Announces Approval of Reverse Stock Split.


WILMINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 14, 1995--Telor Ophthalmic Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: TELR TELR Talker Echo Loudness Rating ) today reported that its shareholders have approved a one-for-ten reverse stock split of its shares of Common Stock. The reverse stock split will be effective November 15, 1995. Upon the effectiveness of the reverse stock split, Telor will have approximately 785,000 shares of Common Stock outstanding. The Nasdaq symbol for Telor's Common Stock will be TELRD for the next 30 days and thereafter will be TELR.

Since its formation in 1988, Telor Ophthalmic Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a development stage company, has been engaged in research and development of products for use in ophthalmic surgery and age-related diseases of the eye. In August 1995, the Company announced that preliminary analysis of Phase III clinical trials Noun 1. phase III clinical trial - a large clinical trial of a treatment or drug that in phase I and phase II has been shown to be efficacious with tolerable side effects; after successful conclusion of these clinical trials it will receive formal approval from the  of its lead product candidate, XARANO, indicated that the trials did not support continuation of the XARANO development program. Separately in August, the Company announced positive results of its Phase I/II trial of a compound to reduce surgical miosis miosis /mi·o·sis/ (mi-o´sis) contraction of the pupil.
