The XpressVoice2400 accelerates the convergence of voice and data services while maximizing the use of the existing copper facility."

XpressVoice2400 delivers high-quality loop-start or ground-start dial tone telephone line connections to key systems, off premises extensions, facsimile machines, modems, PBXs and other conventional analog telephone devices. The XpressVoice2400 meets Foreign Exchange Subscriber (FXS) signaling requirements and supports CLASS services (caller id, call waiting, selective ringing, etc.). It supports fax and modem capability without compression, bit robbing or statistical multiplexing.

Using industry standard interfaces, XpressVoice2400 supports a V.35, 10BaseT Ethernet or IP Router LAN (Local Area Network) A communications network that serves users within a confined geographical area. The "clients" are the user's workstations typically running Windows, although Mac and Linux clients are also used.  module. Telmax Communication's XpressVoice2400 provides remote office connectivity by converting a single T1 digital access line into 12 or 24 analog telephone circuits for voice, facsimile or modem applications as well as high-speed data transport.

XpressVoice2400 features an integrated Data Service Unit/Channel Service Unit (DSU/CSU (Digital (or Data) Service Unit/Channel Service Unit) A pair of communications devices that connect an inhouse line to an external digital circuit (T1, DDS, etc.). ), allowing the user to connect directly to the single-pair T1 line without having to connect other peripheral equipment or circuit cards.

XpressVoice is configured and monitored locally or remotely via user-friendly menu screens by way of the RS232 port, and front panel LEDs provide visual indication of the T1 and FXS channel status.

General availability of the XpressVoice2400 IAD is March 2000. List price for a fully-loaded XpressVoice2400 IAD is $1495.
