Telewest, UK Expands Micromuse's Netcool(R) Solutions to Provide Service Assurance of New Video on Demand Offering; UK's Leading Triple Play Provider Uses Netcool(R) Solutions for End-to-End Management and Visualization of Converged IP Services.

Micromuse's Netcool solutions were first deployed by Telewest in 2004, and are being expanded to provide complete end-to-end service assurance and visualization across all Telewest's broadband, digital television, and corporate sector products.

Telewest markets broadband communications and media services to 4.7 million homes in the UK and delivers multi-channel television, telephone, and internet services to 1.8 million residential customers. Telewest also selected the Netcool Dashboards solution for realtime business and service views, and trended reporting. The complete Netcool solution is designed to provide an end-to-end platform for the rapid identification, prioritization and resolution of service-affecting faults, enabling Telewest to prioritize resources by service, region or customer.
