Television: Karen wallops Weatherfield witch Tracy at Amy's christening.

There is a fair bit of slap and tickle in soapland this week especially in Coronation Street, where Karen McDonald (Suranne Jones) gets her revenge on Weatherfield wedding wrecker Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) by gatecrashing her baby Amy's christening and giving the shocked mum a gift she won't forget... a bunch of fives in the face.

Over in Emmerdale, hapless builder Syd Woolfe (Nathan Gladwell) is also on the receiving end of a good slap when tempestuous girlfriend Chloe Atkinson (Amy Nuttall) accuses him of seeing another woman and then wallops him across the chops.

EastEnders provides the tickle when sort of brother and sister Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Dennis Rickman (Nigel Harman) go public about their relationship by sharing a tongue sandwich in the Queen Vic. All right, she's adoptedKaren lands a right hook on scheming Tracy and he's got a different mum altogether... but it's just not right.

Things are much more straightforward in Home and Away where Sally Fletcher (Kate Ritchie)has to jump through hoops to get to the church on time for her white wedding to Flynn Saunders (Joel McIlroy). But there's heartbreak in Neighbours when Dr Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) tells wife Susan (Jackie Woodburne) he wants to spend time apart despite her trying to spice things up with some sexy lingerie.

Denise Boulter (Clare Perkins) can't decide whether to stay with husband Les (Howard Saddler) or take off with his best friend Caleb (Steve Toussaint) in Family Affairs while in Hollyoaks, Ellie Mills (Sarah Baxendale) is under more pressure to admit her dead husband was a murderer.

And in River City, cool couple Billy Davis (Gray O'Brien) and wife Della (Katie McEwen) return from holiday to find their trendy hairdressing salon has been turned into a hotbed of blue rinses.
