Teletrac Vehicle Recovery Technology Saves Local Firm Nearly $220,000 in Assets; Five Stolen Trucks Successfully Recovered for Local Contracting Firm.

HAYWARD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 25, 1997--Crescent Truck Lines, based in Hayward, Calif., recovered five stolen vehicles last week using Teletrac's state-of-the-art wireless tracking technology, saving nearly $100,000 in stolen cargo in addition to an estimated $120,000 in value of the five vehicles.

The vehicles were returned to Crescent Truck Lines in full working condition and the quick recovery resulted in minimal 'down time' to the company.

Less than thirty minutes after being notified by Crescent Truck Lines, Teletrac located the first of the company's five stolen vehicles in an industrial area of Hayward, Calif., and reported the location to the California Highway Patrol's Cargo Theft Interdiction INTERDICTION, civil law. A legal restraint upon a person incapable of managing his estate, because of mental incapacity, from signing any deed or doing any act to his own prejudice, without the consent of his curator or interdictor.

Instead, they are notified of the exact location by Teletrac or the Teletrac customer and can react directly to the crime.
