Telesource International, Inc. Awarded $5.7 Million Contract to Expand Radio Relay Broadcast Station in the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands for U.S. Government.

LOMBARD, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 1, 2003

Telesource International, Inc. (www.telesource.org) announced today that it has been awarded a $5.7 million contract to expand an existing radio relay broadcast station located in the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands Northern Mariana Islands (märēä`nä), commonwealth associated with the United States (2005 est. pop. 80,400), c.185 sq mi (479 sq km), comprising 16 islands (6 inhabited) of the Marianas chain (all except Guam), in the W Pacific  ("CNMI CNMI Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands ") for an independent agency of the U.S. Government, the Broadcasting Board of Governors' International Broadcasting Bureau The International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB) supports the day-to-day operations of the Voice of America (VOA) and the Office of Cuba Broadcasting (Radio and TV Marti). It also provides transmission and technical support for all of the independent non-military broadcasting services  ("IBB IBB International Broadcasting Bureau (US government)

"). The existing station was constructed by Telesource and began operations in 2000. The expansion of this radio relay station is for the addition of two short wave antennas by March 12, 2004.
