Telenor Satellite Services Unveils Aggressive BGAN Sales Program; Company Announces Equipment ''Swap'' Program and Eliminates Activation and Subscription Fees for New Global IP Satellite.

OSLO, Norway & ROCKVILLE, Md. -- Telenor Satellite Services, a subsidiary of Telenor of Norway (Oslo Stock Exchange:TEL and NASDAQ:TELN), today unveiled its 2006 worldwide incentive program for its Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) Service. E[acute accent]Through the end of June 2006 or while supply lasts, Telenor Satellite Services, through its global network of service providers and partners, is offering free airtime and BGAN equipment discounts for customers who turn in an old handheld satellite phone for a new BGAN terminal. Under the terms of this exclusive Telenor program, BGAN users can receive a combination of free airtime and equipment discounts worth up to $1,500, depending on the terminal model purchased. E[acute accent]Telenor has eliminated BGAN activation fees. Additionally, the company has launched the Telenor BGAN Anytime Plan that eliminates monthly subscription fees. Instead of a monthly subscription fee, users of the Telenor BGAN Anytime Plan agree to a low charge of 10 MB of airtime per month. The 10 MB are good for a year and unused monthly portions automatically rollover to the next month.
