Telemobile's TM2000-D Digital Wireless Phonelink Series in 2.4 GHz Spread Spectrum or VHF/UHF Frequencies Solves Rural Telephony Requirements for Wireless Voice, Fax and Internet Access.


TORRANCE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 21, 1999--

The newest member of the new Phonelink(R) TM2000 Series announced by Telemobile is designated the TM2000-D digital wireless phone system.

It allows for simultaneous voice, fax and Internet/www access over a wireless link to specifically serve rural villages and remote communities.

The TM2000-D provides multi-line, point-to-point toll-quality speech for two telephone lines and a separate data channel that can all be used at the same time. The new TM2000-D digital systems are available in 19.2Kbps or 64Kbps VHF (Very High Frequency) The range of electromagnetic frequencies from 30 MHz to 300 MHz.  or UHF (Ultra High Frequency) The range of electromagnetic frequencies from 300 MHz to 3 GHz. In the U.S., analog television has used UHF channels 52 to 69 in the 700 MHz band.  versions as well as 64Kbps and 128Kbps 2.4GHz Spread Spectrum for unlicensed operation.

In the announcement made just prior to the opening of the ComunicAsia Singapore expo The Singapore Expo (Chinese: 新加坡博览中心) is the largest convention and exhibition venue in Singapore with 100,000 square metres of column-free, indoor space spread over 10 halls.  June 22-25, Telemobile's Vice President Marketing Dan Thomas pointed out the TM2000-D is a complete "turn-key" out of the box, plug and play solution with low cost per line.

The TM2000-D Digital Phonelink(R) systems are immediately available in 66-520MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc.  and on 2.4GHz Spread Spectrum in 19-inch rack, desktop or pole mount outdoor configurations. Rural villages and CTCs (community tele centers) can now offer public pay telephone service and now also have high-speed connections to the Internet at 56Kbps. 64K and 128Kbps data-only configurations are also available.

The system's data port can be configured for V.35 to support various data networks. The units operate from 13.8 VDC VDC Volts Direct Current

Phonelink TM2000-D system users can link up to 50 kilometers or more with one digital radio channel. Digital repeaters are available from Telemobile to extend over mountaintops. Although most applications for the TM2000-D systems use the data channel for asynchronous Refers to events that are not synchronized, or coordinated, in time.
