Teledyne Wins Air Force Contract for Large Format Infrared Focal Plane Arrays.
"The HIGH STARE program leverages Teledyne's current capability in growth of high performance Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) Mercury Cadmium Telluride (MCT) detector materials, to develop the large physical size detectors needed for the program," said Robert Mehrabian, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Teledyne. "Teledyne Scientific and Imaging has demonstrated a broad background in developing focal plane arrays for space defense systems applications, as well as recent successes in manufacturing and delivery of large format Infrared focal plane arrays with greater than 4 million pixels, and visible light arrays with more than 59 million pixels."
Teledyne Imaging Sensors, based in Camarillo, Calif., is an advanced sensor design and production enterprise with world-class capabilities in infrared and visible detector material technologies, readout integrated circuit design, and integrated focal plane array fabrication.
