TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) (NASDAQ:TSYS), a global leader in location and messaging software and E9-1-1 services for wireless carriers, today announced it has signed a contract with Carolina West Wireless to provide E9-1-1 Phase I and Phase II solutions to serve the subscribers of Western North Carolina.

By taking advantage of TCS' world-class location solution, Carolina West Wireless will be able to provide their subscribers reliable E9-1-1 services, including call routing and data delivery, as well as the best possible accuracy for location information.

This technology will locate a user within 20 meters under a wide variety of conditions. Thus, Carolina West Wireless meets the 50-meter Phase II guideline mandated by the FCC for the majority of E9-1-1 calls placed in the Carolina West Wireless service area.
