FOXBORO, Mass. -- Telco Systems, a provider of carrier-class transport and access solutions for public and private IP and TDM networks, today announced a new sleek contemporary design for its Access211 voice over IP (VoIP) media gateway, which enables service providers to offer their residential and small home office (SOHO Soho (sōhō`, sə–), district of Westminster, London, England, known for its continental restaurants. Once a fashionable quarter, it became popular among writers and artists in the 19th cent. ) customers with a high-quality VoIP service using traditional analog telephones and fax machines. "Access211N is distinguished from all other VoIP gateways in its class for its superior voice quality and routing functionality, particularly with its unique traffic-shaping capability that prevents heavy Internet traffic from interfering with the bandwidth required," said Dave Lee, vice president of marketing and services for Telco Systems. "Now Access211N is also distinctive for its new appealing design, which is significantly smaller, in fact it's small enough to fit in your pocket, allowing users to take it on the road."

Access211N targets service providers that want to offer out-of-territory voice services via the Internet, ILECs and CLECs adding voice services for existing customer, and new telephony VoIP providers offering voice services over broadband Internet connections to SOHO users.
