Teknovus and Dongwon Announce Win at Korea Telecom.

Teknovus Continues Deployments at Largest Korean Carrier

PETALUMA, Calif. -- Dongwon, a leading supplier of optical communications equipment in Korea and Teknovus, the leading provider of Gigabit Ethernet Optical Network (G-EPON) chipsets for deployment of triple-play services in broadband access networks, announced that Korea Telecom (KT) has selected the Dongwon Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) solution, based on Teknovus' chips, for major deployment throughout Korea. KT, Korea's largest service provider, is deploying Dongwon's FTTH solution as part of its nationwide broadband network that will deliver premium grade triple-play services.

Teknovus is the sole winner of KT's current benchmark performance test. Dongwon represents Teknovus' third equipment vendor win with KT. Previously, Teknovus announced wins with Samsung and Corecess. Teknovus has extensive current and ongoing deployments throughout Korea through its equipment vendors.

Dongwon's FTTH solution enables service providers to cost-effectively deliver triple-play services over a passive FTTH network.
