Tekelec's newest media gateway controller is designed with an economical price and capacity that lowers the entry point for carriers building new, next-generation networks or incumbents expanding into new markets. The VXi 1000 MGC features an upgradeable capacity that scales to support new applications and network growth.

"Carriers have vastly different softswitch requirements depending on their particular market and implementation," commented Paul Miller The name Paul Miller is shared by a number of people.

The VXi 1000 MGC delivers a variety of packet-telephony applications for global networks including packet tandem, Internet offload, and PBX (Private Branch eXchange) An inhouse telephone switching system that interconnects telephone extensions to each other as well as to the outside telephone network (PSTN).  access.
