The two units will increase the refinery's gasoline quality and the output capacity by 2m litres/day to 10m litres/day. Chegalesh will carry out the project in partnership with Petrolinvest of Bosnia and Radira Co. of Iran. Technip of France, which a 34% stake in Petrolinvest, will take part in the project as a sub-constractor. Axens of France has done the basic engineering for the project.

Work on a new NGL NGL - A dialect of IGL.  plant on Kharg Island was begun by a consortium of Iranian companies under an EPC contract worth 1.2 bn ($1.5 bn) signed last month. The plant is to produce 1.25m t/y of LPG, 5,000 b/d of condensate and over 250 MCF/day of dry gas. It will be fed with 700 MCF/day of natural gas from several offshore fields in the Kharg and Bahregan region, including the Soroush and Nowruz oilfields developed by Shell.
