Tecnomatix Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ-NM:TCNO), a pioneer and world leader in e-Manufacturing software solutions, announced today the release and shipment of its eMPower Quality System(TM) 2.1 solution for real-time data collection for electronics assembly.

eMPower Quality System 2.1 is the industry-leading tool for quality tracking utilized by the world's largest OEM electronic manufacturers and contract electronic manufacturers (CEMs). Quality System automatically collects information from in-circuit and functional testers, as well as automatic optical inspection (AOI) equipment, to provide detailed yield and throughput data for a single production line or an entire factory operation. It allows electronics manufacturers to track the history of every circuit card, and includes a complete graphical repair tool for repair technicians. Quality System also provides on-line reporting of parts per million (PPM) and statistical process control (SPC) information to manufacturers and their customers, and includes a powerful Pareto analysis capability to help identify and correct process problems.

Tecnomatix eMPower Quality System 2.1 is based on a client server system and contains several component applications. Together, these applications create a graphical data collection system for collecting, analyzing and tracking in-process and assembled circuit board defects, minimizing defects and improving product quality.
