Technology Solutions Company Announces Hiring of New Chief Financial Officer.

Technology Solutions Company (TSC) (Nasdaq: TSCC) is pleased to announce that Laurence P. Birch has joined the Company as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Birch brings to the Company 20 years of extensive financial and business experience, which includes a background in consulting as well as technology. Prior to joining TSC, Mr. Birch served as Chief Financial Officer of Brigade, Inc., an internet support company based in San Francisco. Mr. Birch has also served as Chief Financial Officer of Gateway Homecare, Inc.; Vice President/Business Operations for MCI/Worldcom-Systemhouse Division; and in various financial positions with Baxter Healthcare, Inc. Mr. Birch holds a Masters of Management degree from Northwestern University, a Bachelors of Science degree in Finance from the University of Illinois, and is a CPA. The Company also announced that Timothy P. Dimond has resigned from the position of Chief Financial Officer in which capacity he has served since April 1999. He will continue as an employee into the first quarter of 2001 to help ensure a smooth transition to Mr. Birch and to assist in the year-end audit and SEC reporting process. "During his nearly seven years of service, Tim has made significant contributions to TSC," said Jack Hayden. "We wish him the very best." Mr. Dimond plans to take time off before deciding on his next career move.
