Company Completes Development of Prototype Scanner and Begins Phase I

Clinical Trials

TechniScan, Inc., a developer of new ultrasound-based technology for the earliest stage detection of breast cancer, took steps to support the growth and expansion of the company's business with the additions of Barry K Hanover, 47, as chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Additionally, the company announced the completion of its prototype scanner, called the SafeScan(TM) system, and the commencement of their Phase I Clinical Trials this month. The patented SafeScan system is designed to scan the breast using computational software developed by TechniScan. The software allows image generation using ultrasound inverse scattering and reflection tomography, which are sectional slices like Magnetic Resonance magnetic resonance, in physics and chemistry, phenomenon produced by simultaneously applying a steady magnetic field and electromagnetic radiation (usually radio waves) to a sample of atoms and then adjusting the frequency of the radiation and the strength of the  (MRI 1. Varley has more than 20 years of experience in medical imaging. In his new role, Varley will be responsible for all aspects of the company's marketing and sales operations, including business strategy, corporate communications and worldwide marketing efforts for the launch of the SafeScan(TM) system.

Warnock joins TechniScan from Millcreek Ventures Corporation, a company he co-founded and served as president and CEO. The consulting company specialized in startup and early-stage ventures. Prior to Millcreek Ventures, Warnock served as vice president of legal and technology for Aubaine Venture Development, and had a private law practice in the Silicon Valley, where he specialized in commercial law, capitalization, intellectual property and technology licensing. In his new role at TechniScan, Warnock will coordinate inside and outside legal work and the licensing of Techniscan technology for use by others.
