TechTarget partners to launch magazines and web sites for Southeast Asia market.TechTarget (Needham, MA) has partnered with Netremedia Pte Ltd. (Singapore), a technology media company, to launch TechTarget Asia, a network of English-language web sites and magazines targeted to specific communities of Southeast Asian IT professionals. Distribution will include Indonesia, Brunei Bandar Seri Begawan (formerly Brunei; 1991 est. pop. 46,229). The mountains in the nation's east give way to a flat coastal plain; western Brunei consists of hilly lowlands. The tropical climate is typically hot and humid with frequent rain. The country is divided into four administrative districts. A majority of the population are Malays, but the Chinese community, consisting of about 20% of the people, dominates the economy., Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar Myanmar (myän`mär, mēän'mär`) or Burma (bûr`mə), officially Union of Myanmar, republic (2005 est. pop. 42,909,000), 261,789 sq mi (678,033 sq km), SE Asia., Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia. TechTarget Asia will launch Asian versions of Bitpipe.com, SearchCIO.com, SearchStorage.com, SearchSecurity.com and several Windows-related sites, as well as regional editions of "Information Security" and "Storage" magazines. In addition, each company will sell advertising on the other's media. In a statement, TechTarget ceo Greg Strakosch said that "TechTarget partnered with Netremedia because it has a proven track record in IT media. Together, we will make TechTarget Asia the top destination for Southeast Asian IT professionals and the preferred marketing vehicle of smart IT vendors." Netremedia produces "SMBnet," a new quarterly magazine designed to assist business owners and managers learn more about leveraging technology, related conferences, seminars and round tables. |
