Tech Data Broadens Point-of-Sale and Data Capture Product Offering.

Resellers targeting the law enforcement sector, for instance, can deploy Casio's IT-3000 data terminal, which features a built-in high-speed printer with magnetic card reader and C-MOS imager. The device helps reduce human error and improve efficiency when issuing tickets, reading parking meters or performing other field-service duties where a receipt or label is required.

In the health care or financial industries, the 3M Privacy Monitor enables a more secure way to view confidential records. The monitor utilizes an integrated privacy filter to limit viewable on-screen on·screen or on-screen

3M Touch Systems Inc. Privacy Monitor

3M Touch Systems manufactures touch-screen and non-touch-screen monitors, touch sensor technology and other products for applications including POS, finance, self-serve kiosks, gaming and consumer products. Tech Data distributes the 17-inch LCD 3M Privacy Monitor.

Casio Inc.

Casio is a leading manufacturer of electronic products ranging from handheld personal computers and TVs to digital cameras. Tech Data's POS/Data Capture SBU distributes Casio's EG-800 ruggedized handheld and the IT-3000 mobile data terminal with printer and magnetic card reader. Both devices are designed for wireless, efficient data collection suitable for an array of applications and markets.

IEE's ScanVue(R)

IEE creates state-of-the-art display technologies including LCD displays, pole displays and interactive kiosks. Tech Data distributes IEE's ScanVue price verification systems that allow retail customers to scan items and check prices. The ScanVue can be programmed to display advertising and other promotions associated with each item scanned.

WASP Technologies/Symbol Technologies Inc. bundle

Tech Data offers resellers Symbol's SPT (Sectors Per Track) The number of sectors in one track. 1550 and SPT1800 mobile devices powered by WASP MobileAsset and MobileInventory software. Features include laser bar code scanners A device specialized for reading bar codes and converting them into either the ASCII or EBCDIC digital character code.
