Tear your heart out.
Why not?
Turn a tee into distressed rock-worthy wear (and tear). We got the
how-to's from Generation T: 108 Ways to Transform a T-shirt
($14.95, Workman). Grab some scissors and a tee (pink has good shock
value). Turn it inside out, and use tailor's chalk to sketch a
heart shape on the shirt's torso. Draw parallel lines horizontally
inside the outline of the heart, about an inch apart. Place a piece of
cardboard inside the shirt (so you don't cut through both sides).
Now, slash along the lines with scissors, and watch your shirt turn
hardcore. For extra oomph, cut out the neck band and sleeve ends to
leave raw edges. Throw it on over a tank, and give your crush a dead-on
smile.
