TeamViewer version 7 available now.
TeamViewer GmbH, a provider of remote control and online presentation software, said today that it has released TeamViewer 7.
The new version allows the creation of online meetings for up to 25 participants, with meetings accessible via any web browser without the need to have TeamViewer installed. Meetings can be scheduled in advance and planned via Microsoft Outlook and the host can send an invitation with all the practical joining information in one place, including the URL and optional conference line details.
TeamViewer 7 also includes new remote access features, including full drag-and-drop functionality from a session window to a local computer, or vice versa; full multi-monitor support enabling users to see two or more remote screens on two or more local screens; and stored preferences.
In addition TeamViewer has released the free TeamViewer Meeting App, available for Android devices, iPhone and iPad, for those who need to attend presentations on-the-go.
TeamViewer 7 is available now for Windows computers from http://www.teamviewer.com/version7. It is free for private use, while business licences for the complete solution, including support and minor version updates, start at a one-time fee of GBP439.
The TeamViewer Meeting App for Android is available at the Android Market Place and TeamViewer said that the iOS app will be available later in December from the App Store.
