The Organic Adventures of Tucker the Tomato, an exquisitely illustrated children's book by Rey Ortega and Amanda Moeckel, tells the story of a darling young tomato who falls off an organic produce truck and tries to find his way back to his friends at a natural foods store. Along his journey, he learns about the differences between himself and conventional tomatoes, shown as mean, discolored vegetables.

This book is a great way to introduce the kids in your life to the world of natural eating. Our test subject, a 5-year-old veggie boy, had several questions after its conclusion, prompting a discussion about organic tomatoes and pesticides.
