TarFest: Notable Festival Mixes Art Forms Celebrates Eclecticism With Diverse Array of Events October 21 - October 24, 2004.


From a reception that includes the Craft and Folk Art folk art, the art works of a culturally homogeneous people produced by artists without formal training. The forms of such works are generally developed into a tradition that is either cut off from or tenuously connected to the contemporary cultural mainstream.  Museum to the newest Lawrence Lawrence.

TIME:     12 Noon - 4:30 p.m.

          Features TarFest museum and community partners providing
          "edu-tainment" for families; such as scavenger hunt, skate
          park, and cricket match demonstration. Music provided by
          QUINCY, WASHINGTON PREP JAZZ ENSEMBLE, THE GUMBO BROTHERS
          and MORE. All the FAMILY FUN takes place at the La Brea Tar
          Pits.

Except for TarFest Music at the Conga Room, admission to all other
TarFest events is free.
