TantaComm introduces Compliance Engine.

TantaComm recently announced a product designed to provide affected outbound contact centers with the ability to comply with government regulations anticipated to go into effect January 29, 2004. TantaComm's Compliance Engine, TCE, resolves issues faced by outbound centers and provides a viable option to the expense and potential service interruptions of completely upgrading systems. TCE makes it possible for non-compliant dialers with D4 T1 trunks to interface with ISDN trunks providing ANI information as required under the FTC mandates. In addition to providing dynamic number identification on a per-call basis, TCE is capable of digitally recording calls and delivering compliance reporting for abandoned calls and two second criteria. The technology is based on TantaComm's Auditor Card with a capacity of eight full duplex T1 circuits and DSP-based call processing. In this application, each Auditor Card terminates four D4 T1 trunks and originates four ISDN-PRI trunks while supplying the required translation of signaling and call progress tones. The Auditor Card operates like a central office to the dialer, providing dial tone and capture of outbound DTMF dialing strings. Calls are set up, switched and torn down using the Auditor Card on board switching matrix and CPU. Connections between the ISDN and D4 trunks occur instantly. The call processor is not affected and operates in the same manner as before.
