Tannenbaum Helpern hosts green building seminar.


Tannenbaum Helpern Syracuse & Hirschtritt LLP (Tannenbaum Helpern) is pleased to announce "Building Green," a special breakfast seminar that will examine how to build, renovate and manage buildings to meet the current standards for green construction on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at 900 Third Avenue in New York City.

The program will feature interactive panel discussions, case studies and best practices to provide a comprehensive overview of green construction as it relates to owners, developers, lenders, engineering and design firms, contractors and subcontractors in all facets of the construction process.

The panel will be led by Kenneth M. Block, Esq., co-chair, real estate, environmental and construction practice group, Tannenbaum Helpern Syracuse & Hirschtritt LLP who serves as counsel, New York Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council. He will be joined by Murray A. Levi, A.I.A. LEED AP, vice president, The LiRo Group; John C. McGinley, vice president, Grubb & Ellis New York; and Mark Harari, A.I.A, Co-President, Phbcatalystgroup, Inc.

The seminar will feature key topics including: Green 101: An Overview of the LEED Rating System; Cost of Green Construction and Renovation; Government Incentive Programs for Green Construction; and Strategies for Green Building and Operation.

Hosted by Tannenbaum Helpern's real estate, construction and environmental practice group, this seminar is one of a series of programs offered by the firm as a way of demonstrating its continuing education for its attorneys as well as its clients. Tannenbaum Helpern attorneys regularly prepare and negotiate contracts and specifications required to obtain LEED certification and are well known for their expertise in the evolving standards for green construction.
