Tandberg Data's Exabyte Magnum 224 LTO Tape Library Now Certified on all Major Backup Software Providers for Apple Mac OS.

About the Magnum 224

Developed specifically for SMB/departmental organizations, the Magnum 224 LTO Tape Library is available for $7,850 (estimated U.S. street price) with a single native FC LTO-3 drive and one 12-cartridge magazine that delivers speeds of 576 GB/hour1 and total capacity of 9.6 TB1 in a compact, 2U rackmount enclosure. Users may purchase and install a second 12-cartridge magazine for $350 (estimated U.S. street price) bringing total cartridge capacity to 24 and total data storage capacity to 19.2 TB1. The Magnum 224 eliminates the need for and associated costs of a Fibre Channel interface to the automation controller by using a feature built into the LTO tape drives called Automation/Drive Interface (ADI).

The Apple-configured Magnum 224 delivers full-featured capabilities as well as user-friendly installation and configuration. Each library ships standard with a barcode scanner See bar code scanner. , Ethernet-based remote management, a single import/export media drawer, a rack mount kit, 12-cartridge magazine upgrade, and TOLIS BRU backup and recovery software. Other library vendors may charge hundreds or thousands of dollars extra for these key library components. The Magnum 224 is protected by a standard one-year warranty that includes 5x9 next business day on site service (OSS Oss (ôs), city (1994 pop. 62,141), North Brabant prov., S Netherlands; chartered 1399.
