Goodman first garnered national attention as a junior in high school, averaging 35.

It has over 3 million subscribers and is read by 23 million adults each week, including over 18 million men, 19% of the adult males in the country.  -- will be displaying his formidable basketball prowess at the Homowack Hotel.

Together with his coach Howard (Chaim) Katz, Goodman will run a basketball clinic on Thursday afternoon, May 20, the eve of the Jewish holiday of Shavuoth. In addition, Goodman and Katz will run an insightful Q&A session during the holiday itself.

"Shavuoth celebrates g-d giving the commandments to the Jewish people. We feel the statement Tamir made by choosing to give priority to g-d's commandments (like Sabbath observance) over the potentially lucrative opportunities offered by college and pro-ball, make for an ideal holiday message," said Marty Seigmeister, the hotel's general manager.

Katz took the opportunity to note that given the large amount of families the hotel attracts for the Shavuoth holiday, Goodman will have an opportunity to meet with his single largest constituency -- Jewish kids. "Kids can spot the genuine article a mile away, and the reason they all look up to Tamir is that he's the `real thing', both from a Judaism and athletic standpoint. He's a positive role model that shows certain things take precedence to the `all-mighty dollar' philosophy that's so prevalent in our society," said Katz.

The concept of bringing up Goodman for the three-day holiday was the brainstorm of Sam Ash, the Homowack's self-described "Minister of Entertainment" and a Creative Director at MSA (Metropolitan Service Area) An urban area with at least 50,000 people plus surrounding counties. In addition to Goodman, the hotel will also be hosting a post holiday concert by Yehuda! -- a dynamic young singer who many consider the "Tamir Goodman" of Jewish Music.

The Homowack is the world's largest year-round Sabbath observing strictly kosher resort hotel. It is situated on almost 500 acres and has over 325 newly renovated rooms. It features a full range of indoor and outdoor sports and world class amenities. It has survived -- and thrived -- through the "demise of the Borscht Belt" by offering the orthodox Jewish vacationer a first class vacation at a truly amazing value.
