) today announced Tamara Lyn Pippert the recipient of the 2005 Emerging Leaders Award for her demonstrated leadership in sales and marketing.

During her career at Agilent, Pippert's leadership skills have been instrumental in several accomplishments within the company. She led an overall marketing program for a $30-$50 million product line from current product marketing and promotion to new product generation. She co-led organizational focus groups resulting in priorities and action planning to address business unit-wide employee survey concerns. And, she was instrumental in the development and maintenance of division-wide product development lifecycle processes, which increases department efficiency.

"Tami's leadership and mentoring associated with identifying the customer voice, positioning products in the market, following processes and communicating through marketing tools to customers and sales channel partners yielded results for me personally," says Stacy Kalisz Johnson, expert product manager engineer, also with Agilent. "This has also been true for others who have experienced her leadership through partnership and mentoring."

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Pippert has dedicated her time to mentoring three co-workers at Agilent. She also volunteers her time to Junior Achievement in Denver.

This marks the inaugural year for the Emerging Leaders Awards. These awards were created in response to overwhelming demand from our corporate partners and members to recognize the accomplishments of mid-career women. The Emerging Leaders Awards honor women engineers who have demonstrated outstanding technical excellence as an individual resulting in significant accomplishments in the following areas: academia; manufacturing and construction; procurement/logistics; product research, design, and engineering; quality; safety, health and environment; and sales and marketing.
