TallShips(R)LA at the Port of Los Angeles; Press Boat Availability for Parade of Sail.


OPP:      Place a reporter on a tall ship during the TallShips(R)LA
          Grand Parade of Sail into the Port of Los Angeles.

WHEN:     Thursday, August 11, 2005
          10:00 a.m. (sharp) - Press boat leaves Berth 84
          11:00 a.m.  - Grand Parade of Sail

WHERE:    Port of Los Angeles, public landing next to Berth 84 (Thomas
          Guide 2005, page 284) at the intersection of 6th Street and
          Harbor Boulevard in San Pedro. The press boat leaves from
          the left side of the museum.

PARKING:  Parking is available at Liberty Hill at the corner of 5th
          Street and Harbor Boulevard.

WHO:      Credentialed press may board the designated press boat. The
          press boat will leave Berth 84 at 10:00 a.m. sharp and
          return about 11:30 a.m.

WHAT:     More than 15 majestic tall ships will sail into the Port of
          Los Angeles for TallShips(R)LA, August 11-14. This four-day
          event features a group of international tall ships as part
          of the ASTA (American Sail Training Association) Tall Ships
          Challenge(R) West Coast Race Series. Highlights include food
          and activity booths, free dockside vessel tours at 3:00 p.m.
          and purchased day sail adventures on selected ships at 4:00
          p.m. Tall ships making an appearance include the Argus, Bill
          of Rights, Californian, Cuauhtemoc, Exy Johnson, Antigua's
          Kaisei, Lynx, R. Tucker Thompson of New Zealand, Russia's
          Pallada, Pilgrim, Robert C. Seamans, Royaliste, Spirit of
          Dana Point, Swift of Ipswich, Talofa and Tole Mour.
