Tall Ship Festival.

Institution: Baylake Bank, Sturgeon Bay, Wisc.

In June 2005, Baylake Bank entered into contract with Green Bay Tall Ship Tours Inc. to be the title sponsor of the 2006 Green Bay Tall Ship Festival. This event became the "Baylake Bank Tall Ship Festival."

The festival was held July 27-29, 2006, and hosted 16 tall ships in downtown Green Bay at three sites: Leicht Memorial Park, Admiral Flatley Park, and the WPS Corporate grounds. The event included a parade of sail, opening ceremony, tours of the ships, and opportunities to sail away aboard a ship. In addition to the ships, the event was a festival with entertainment and vendors on site. Total attendance for the festival was about 59,000.

Additional opportunities, outside of the scope of Green Bay Tall Ship Tours Inc., were organized by Baylake Bank and included a day-sail from Green Bay to Sturgeon Bay, and a special sail-through Sturgeon Bay as the ships departed for Chicago.
