The new 9,780-SF store at 527 Madison Ave. will be located adjacent to the retailer's 525 Madison Ave. women's flagship. Formerly the site of The Gap, the space will house a 5,365-SF Talbots Mens at street level and a 4,415-SF Talbots Kids in the space's lower level. Alan Victor, executive vice president of The Lansco Corporation, represented the tenant in the transaction. "The space is currently undergoing an extensive renovation in preparation for the store's planned opening this September," commented Victor, who noted that Lansco has been responsible for all of the Talbots locations in Manhattan, including its original flagship and expansions in both the Upper East and Upper West Sides. Ed Goldman and Gary Trock of Insignia/ESG represented the landlord, Equity Office Properties, in the long-term lease. "This is a fabulous location for Talbots," said Trock, "giving them a solid presence in Midtown mid·town n.
