Takreer Awards $5.2b Contracts for Ruwais Refinery.

GS Engineering and Construction Corporation and SK Engineering and Construction Company are the two South Korean companies that have bagged the contracts, the official news agency Wam reported here AaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAa on Wednesday.

Oil in the ground is not a "reserve" unless it is claimed to be economically recoverable, since as the oil is extracted, the cost of recovery increases incrementally
. The UAE in general and Abu Dhabi in particular have been making massive investments recently for diversifying its economy away from oil.

Two days back, Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Limited, which is a member of the Adnoc Group, had announced the signing of four landmark contracts worth $9 billion for its Integrated Gas Development project.
