Takeda Pharmaceutical to Acquire Rights to Develop and Commercialize DPP4 Inhibitor from US Pharmaceutical Company Pharmaceutical Product Development.

Further, PPD will collaborate in Phase II and III clinical trials for the DPP 4 inhibitor in the US and Europe. The DPP4 inhibitor, which is currently being developed by PPD and Takeda San Diego, a US subsidiary of Takeda, is an oral agent for the treatment of diabetes.
