Mohandas Gandhi is the best-known figure to whom the title was applied. Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. challenged us to take on social injustices Social Injustice is a concept relating to the perceived unfairness or injustice of a society in its divisions of rewards and burdens. The concept is distinct from those of justice in law, which may or may not be considered moral in practice. . Even though the end result would be the same as a general strike, it was a day of prayer and fasting. He wanted the British to leave India as friends. This attitude of not harming even the `enemy' is the way of nonviolence. It arises out of pure love and compassion. What if we followed this path of love that spirituality implies? My goal is to work actively on this nonviolent path; I thank the creator every night for granting yet another day on which I did not cause a hurt or pain in anyone's heart.
