When a person begins a civil lawsuit, the person enters into a process called litigation.

All three products are the subject of litigation alleging that their respective manufacturers knew of risks and failed to provide consumers with adequate warnings or remove the products from the market.

For example, recent studies indicate that Ortho Evra patch users are exposed to 60 percent more total estrogen than users of typical birth-control pills, placing them at serious cardiovascular risk. Similarly, consumers of Bausch & Lomb's ReNu with MoistureLoc solution were at risk of exposure to the fungal infection Fusarium Fusarium
