Morning. Noon. Night... Find it in Winston-Salem

Discover a special place offering a unique blend of history, culture, and charm. Winston-Salem's convenient downtown meeting space, the Downtown Connection, consists of the MC Benton, Jr. Convention & Civic Center and the Adam's Mark Winston Plaza Hotel, offering 160,000 square feet of meeting space all under one roof. An underground walkway connects the convention center to the hotel, which provides 605 guest rooms and 26 suites. Eight new hotel properties with more than 750 new guest rooms recently opened in the Winston-Salem area.

Greensboro--We Make Decisions Easy

All your decisions will be easy to make in Greensboro. You will be able to choose from more than 73 hotels offering in excess of 8,500 rooms (16,000 in the area), not to mention a wide array of entertainment and dining options.

The Greensboro Coliseum Complex features more than 150,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space plus a 23,500-seat arena, 2,400-seat theater; and 298-seat auditorium--all under one roof.

The Koury Convention Center at the Sheraton Greensboro Hotel at Four Seasons offers 1,017 guest rooms and more than 250,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space, including a 40,000-square-foot ballroom that can accommodate 6,000 for a reception. The Sheraton is conveniently located one mile from the Coliseum Complex.

Durham Hosts 4,000 Conventions Annually

Home to Research Triangle Park and Duke and North Carolina Central Universities, Durham hosts more than 4,000 conventions and meetings each year. This mid-size community is accessible via Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

With two major convention facilities, including the 119,000-square-foot Durham Civic Center and six major convention hotels, Durham can host 80-85 percent of the nation's conventions and meetings. Durham will soon have 8,500 guest rooms, most built in the last 10-15 years.

Building Boom: Greater Raleigh Raises Its Profile

When you choose Greater Raleigh as the site of your next meeting or convention, you'll be coming to the right place for value, accessibility, and service. Following a significant surge in new inventory, North Carolina's Capital City area is home to more than 115 properties and 13,000 hotel rooms offering competitive rates and is served by Raleigh-Durham International Airport, with more than 300 daily departures.

And the meetings scene keeps getting better. The new state-of-the-art Entertainment and Sports Arena opened in October 1999, with more than 700,000 square feet of flexible space for any event imaginable. For a unique meeting site, consider the new Tournament Players Golf Club at Wakefield Plantation, the new North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and its world-famous dinosaurs, or the new Exploris interactive museum.

Charlotte: Everything You Could Wish For

Located in the heart of the Sun Belt, the Charlotte Convention Center offers 280,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space, a 35,000-square-foot ballroom, up to 46 separate meeting rooms, and 22 covered loading docks. The center boasts exquisite food prepared by award-winning chefs, a full-service business center, a gift shop, and terraces perfect for outdoor entertaining.

Complementing the convention facility are more than 20,000 guest rooms in 181 hotels. More than 600 new rooms are currently under construction in Uptown Charlotte. Another 700 rooms will come on board in 2003 when the new Westin opens across the street from the Convention Center.

Chapel Hill: Big City Amenities in a Small Town

"We offer elegant and comfortable accommodations; an exciting variety of recreational opportunities--from sporting events and historic sites to museums and art galleries; and a village environment that is friendly and inviting," says Joe Blake, executive director, Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau. Orange County has 1,254 guest rooms and numerous meeting and event facilities to accommodate groups of 5-650 delegates.

Randolph County provides a unique setting for small meetings and executive retreats. Five nationally affiliated limited-service hotels provide high-quality, low-cost room and meeting space. Local attractions, such as the North Carolina Zoo, WWII Vintage Airplane Museum, and the North Carolina Pottery Center, provide options for evening events and spouse programs.
