Taiwan Government Purchases Advanced ID'S Technology.

Advanced ID Corporation (OTCBB:AIDO), a pioneer in the radio frequency identification (RFID) market, today announced it has received a purchase order from the Government of Taiwan for up to 25,000 RFID tags and up to 25 RFID readers.

The government has asked Advanced ID to lead a symposium in mid-April to establish an identification and trace-back system for the hog industry. As previously reported, the Taiwan hog industry will require approximately 10 million tags annually as well as the purchase of 30,000 readers. Dr. Chien Lin, Whei-Jun, Legislator in the National Yuan representing Tainan City, is leading the government's efforts to implement a permanent identification and trace-back system for Taiwan. She stated, "We need to initiate a tracking system immediately and although we have been set back with the bird flu crisis, we are now ready to move forward on this project. Advanced ID will assist us in establishing procedures for our birth, feeding, auction, and slaughter house operations. The symposium in mid-April will initiate our complete nation wide identification and trace-back system."
