Taisho Pharmaceutical to Launch OTC-switched Zaditen Nasal Solution.


Tokyo, Japan, Aug 4, 2005 - (JCNN) - Taisho Taishō (tī`shō), 1879–1926, reign name of emperor of Japan (1912–26). His given name was Yoshihito. The son of Mutsuhito, the Meiji emperor, he succeeded to the throne in 1912, but because of illness he played little part in governing the nation. Pharmaceutical (TSE: 4535) announced on August 3 that it has received approval from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare for an OTC-switched version of Zaditen Nasal Solution, an antiallergic an·ti·al·ler·gic (nt--lûr agent developed by Novartis Pharma.

Taisho will distribute OTC-switched Zaditen as its Pabron series through pharmacies across Japan while Novartis Pharma will import it.

Containing ketotifen ketotifen /ke·to·ti·fen/ (-ti´fen) a noncompetitive H and mast cell stabilizer; used topically as the fumarate salt as an antipruritic in the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis. fumarate fumarate /fu·ma·rate/ (fu´mah-rat) a salt of fumaric acid. as a main ingredient, the product helps alleviate nasal allergy symptoms due to pollen and house-dust mites MITES - Michigan Industrial and Technology Education Society (formerly Michigan Industrial Education Society)
