In collaboration with the Meguro Board of Education, the company initiated a project to cover a playground of one of the elementary schools in Tokyo's Meguro Ward. A verification test and simulations conducted in August 2004 showed that the temperature of the surface and surroundings of the playground covered with grass was lower than the conventional soil playground, leading the company to conclude that the lawn playground helps lower the temperature.
