Tachi-S to Establish Joint Venture in the U.S.Tokyo, Japan, Oct 27, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - Tachi-S, a Tokyo-based innovative vehicle seat developer, will establish a joint venture with US automotive interior supplier Lear Corporation in a suburb of Smyrna, Tennessee, in November. LLC - Logical Link Control will be owned 51% by Tachi-S Engineering U.S.A., Inc., Tchi-S's wholly owned subsidiary Wholly Owned Subsidiary A subsidiary whose parent company owns 100% of its common stock. Notes: In other words, the parent company owns the company outright and there are no minority owners. in the US, and 49% by Lear Operations Corporation, Lear's wholly owned subsidiary. The joint venture will produce seats and related components for the Smyrna plant of Nissan North America. It will produce 130,000 units per year starting in May 2007.
