REIGNING Division One champions Wavertree Labour suffered a 7-3 defeat at the hands of Christ The King A at Score Lane, Childwall.

Matt Wilson chalked up a singles treble for Maghull as they secured promotion to Division One with a 8-2 win over Manweb A.

Wilson added a fourth with Tony Kendall in the doubles. Dave Harse was the only winner for the visitors, Kendall and Steve Woods his victims.

They raced into a 6-0 lead before the visitors pegged one back through Paul Morgan.
