Notes: This table contains total net withdrawals for each of the
Lower 48 States with natural gas storage facilities. Positive
numbers indicate the volume of withdrawals in excess of injections.
Negative values indicate the volume of injections in excess of
withdrawals. EIA publishes weekly estimates of working gas in
underground storage by geographical regions developed by the
American Gas Association (AGA) when they published similar weekly
estimates. The AGA Producing Region is Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas,
New Mexico, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama and Mississippi; the
Eastern Consuming Region is all States east of the Mississippi
River less Mississippi and Alabama, plus Iowa, Nebraska and
Missouri; and the Western Consuming Region is all States west of
the Mississippi River less the Producing Region and Iowa,
Nebraska and Missouri.
