TYME sponsors World Sprint Speedskating Championships.


MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 31, 1995--TYME, one of the nation's largest electronic funds transfer See EFT.

 (EFT) networks, has signed on as the first local sponsor of the 1995 World Sprint Speedskating Championships for Ladies and Men to be held February 18-19, 1995 at the Pettit National Ice Center The Pettit National Ice Center is an indoor ice skating facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, featuring two international-size ice rinks and a 400-meter speed skating oval. It opened on December 31, 1992, and is named for Milwaukee philanthropists Jane and Lloyd Pettit.  in Milwaukee.

``This is a first for us,'' says James H. Martin, TYME TYME Take Your Money Everywhere  president. ``We've never done such high-profile marketing before, but we're excited about the opportunity and confident the exposure will even further strengthen the TYME name in Wisconsin.''

A recent survey of Wisconsin consumers by TYME showed an already strong correlation between electronic banking and the TYME name similar to the relationships between copiers and Xerox and tissue paper and Kleenex.

Both days of the championships will be televised on tape delay (the following weekend) on ABC's Wide World of Sports Wide World of Sports can refer to:

  • Nine's Wide World of Sport, the brand used for any sporting event broadcast on the Nine Network
. ``The TYME name will be seen nationally, as well as locally,'' Martin says. ``We'll have signage throughout the Pettit Center during the event and we'll have an ATM in the lobby.''

The championships will be the last U.S. race for Olympic gold Olympic Gold is the official video game of the XXV Olympic Summer Games, hosted by Barcelona, Spain in 1992.
