 TWO FORD MOTOR COMPANY EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS
 DEARBORN, Mich., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Peter J. Pestillo has been


elected executive vice president - Corporate Relations, in charge of Employee Relations Staff and Government Relations Staff. Previously, Mr. Pestillo was vice president - Corporate Relations and Diversified Businesses.
 Robert H. Transou has been elected a company vice president and remains general manager - Powertrain Operations, with responsibility for the Engine Division, Transmission and Chassis Division, Casting Division and Powertrain Engineering.
 The appointments are effective Jan. 1, 1993.

 PETER J. PESTILLO -- Born March 22, 1938, in Bristol, Conn. Received bachelor's degree from Fairfield (Conn.) University and law degree from Georgetown University. Member of the bar of the District of Columbia. Served as vice president of Corporate and Employee Relations, B.F. Goodrich Co.; also held industrial relations positions with General Electric Company. During Economic Stabilization Programs, served with the Federal Pay Board in Washington, D.C. Joined Ford in January 1980 as vice president - Labor Relations. Named vice president - Employee Relations in January 1985, and vice president - Employee and External Affairs in January 1986. Assumed present position April 23, 1990.
 ROBERT H. TRANSOU -- Born Nov. 5, 1939, in Elkin, N.C. Received bachelor's degree from North Carolina State University and master's degree from University of Michigan. Joined Ford in 1962 as an engineer on Engineering and Research Staff. Named manager, Rear Suspension and Frame for the former Chassis Division in 1972. Appointed manager, Emission Systems Engineering, Advance Engine Engineering in 1975. Moved to Small V-8 Engine Department as manager in 1977. Became executive engineer of Eight-Cylinder Engine Engineering the following year. Served as service engineering manager from 1980 until 1983, when named assistant chief engineer, Engine Systems Engineering. Appointed assistant chief engineer, Powertrain Systems Development Engineering, in 1985. Became chief engineer, Powertrain Planning and Engineering, the following year. Named engineering director, Body and Chassis Engineering in 1989. Was made general manager, Engine Operations in March 1991. Assumed present position in November 1991.
