TVI Launches Line of Respirator Canisters for Military and Emergency Personnel Into International Markets.

GLENN DALE, Md. -- TVI Corporation (NASDAQ: TVIN), a global supplier of rapidly deployable first receiver and first responder systems for homeland security, hospitals, the military, police and fire departments, and public health agencies, today announced the international launch of its Military Canister Range for use by the military, first receivers, first responders and law enforcement. The products have successfully passed vigorous independent tests in accordance with international standards.

The range of canisters will be produced at TVI's headquarters, which houses a world-class canister production facility. These products include: a commercial C2A1 canister, which meets the gas life performance required by the U.S. Military; a CS/CN canister, used by Risk Teams for protection against CS (Tear Gas); and a CBRN canister, designed in accordance with the new draft standards for first responders and first receivers to protect them against terrorist threats.
