TVI Corporation Receives a Series of Orders for PAPRs Totaling $137,000 from Pennsylvania Northeast Regional Counter-Terrorism Task Force.

GLENN DALE, Md. -- TVI Corporation (NASDAQ: TVIN), a global supplier of rapidly deployable first responder systems for homeland security, hospitals, military, police and fire departments, and public health agencies, today announced it has received a series of orders from the Pennsylvania Northeast Regional Counter-Terrorism Task Force arranged through one of TVI's leading distributors. The orders, valued at approximately $137,000, are for the Company's powered air purifying respirators (PAPRs).

The Northeast Regional Counter-Terrorism Task Force is one of nine regional task forces within the state of Pennsylvania that fall under the jurisdiction of the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA). PEMA is responsible for coordinating the state's response to support county and local governments in the areas of civil defense, disaster mitigation and preparedness, planning, and response to and recovery from man-made or natural disasters. The Northeast Regional Counter-Terrorism Task Force, consisting of eight counties, addresses homeland security needs, such as equipment purchases and training within that region.
