The VA Healthcare System of Ohio is one of 21 Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISN) designed to increase efficiency and improve integration of resources and service delivery. The overarching goal is to provide better patient-centered care.

In the event of a natural disaster, terrorist activity, or industrial accident, the VISN 10 staff can utilize TVI's equipment to rapidly deploy surge capacity shelters, inoculation stations, decontamination decontamination /de·con·tam·i·na·tion/ (de?kon-tam-i-na´shun) the freeing of a person or object of some contaminating substance, e.g., war gas, radioactive material, etc.
