TUXIA Announces FOCUS Enhancements as New Strategic Partner.

The joining of FOCUS Enhancements in the TUXIA Strategic Partner Program will enable TUXIA's embedded Linux software line, TASTE(R) (TUXIA Appliance Synthesis Technology), to be integrated with FOCUS Enhancements' FS450 and FS460 digital video co-processor drivers to provide a new, higher-quality generation of Internet set-top boxes, interactive TVs and information appliances.

The new partnership between TUXIA and FOCUS Enhancements will allow TASTE, the smallest, fastest and most stable embedded Linux platform for Internet appliances, to be integrated into systems with FOCUS Enhancements' FS450 and FS460 ASICs, the most advanced PC-to-TV co-processors developed. This integrated solution will allow OEMs and developers to reduce costs, improve quality and decrease time-to-market for a new wave of information appliances that will combine the advent of the Internet with the familiar medium of television. Together, the TASTE embedded Linux system and the FS450 and FS460 ASICs will be used to power PC-to-TV information appliances, including advanced multimedia Internet set-top boxes, interactive home entertainment systems and video kiosks.
